Workshop overview

Zoos Victoria created a behaviour change tool called Connect-Understand-Act to underpin its award-winning conservation campaigns. The tool is grounded in social science and engages people on an environmental issue through their attitudes, knowledge and skills.In this workshop, you will learn how to create engaging and impactful initiatives and campaigns using Connect-Understand-Act:

  • Access practical tools that you can use right away
  • Hear about the latest social science research
  • See real and best-practice examples

About the facilitators

The Community Conservation team brings extensive expertise in community engagement, environmental sustainability and wildlife conservation. They are specialists in facilitating pro-conservation behaviours through Zoos Victoria’s award-winning campaigns and education programs. With strong backgrounds in social science, zoology, animal behaviour and adult training, their work has galvanised communities to take meaningful action both in Australia and overseas.
